The tiniest celebration.
This cake was for a baby shower for a little girl born at 26 weeks! She was 1 lb 10 oz and has been in the NICU for months, but doing very well and is projected to come home in just three weeks. When my son was born, he had a short stay in the NICU and was in the room right next to little Alex. At 7 lbs, he seemed like a giant in comparison. Alex's mom happens to work with a very good friend of mine and I told her that I'd make a special cake when they were able to celebrate.
